From the 2020-21 academic year, the CBSE Maths Curriculum for Classes 11 and 12 has been revised to include Applied Mathematics for Commerce and Arts students. The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has announced a new subject for the 2020-21 academic year. The CBSE Applied Mathematics subject (Code 241) is now available for students entering Class 11th as well as current CBSE Class 12 students. The subject would be available as a main course or as an academic elective. The current CBSE Maths subject, on the other hand, remains unchanged. CBSE has introduced Applied Mathematics as a new subject for Senior Secondary Classes. The subject of Applied Mathematics has been designed specifically for Commerce and Social Science students in classes 11 and 12. It is an extension of the already existing skill elective or vocational course. Subject code 241 would be assigned to the new subject or paper.
